The public worship of God is not to be done according to ever progressive ideas or contemporary will-worship; but God is to be worshipped as the Lord has prescribed and taught in the Scriptures.

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24).

We gather for public worship each Lord's Day morning and evening, out of obedience to the Word of God. Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead on the first day of the week (Matt. 28:1-7; Luke 24:1-7). In the New Testament, the Lord changed the day of rest and worship (the 4th Commandment) to the 1st day of the week, the Christian Sabbath (Acts 20:7). It is the duty of all to attend public worship (Psalm 100:1-2; 117:1-2). There is an invitation to any and all to attend public worship.
